Diet & Weight Loss Tips: How To Stop Eating Junk Food By Finding Your Craving Hour

By Ian Mason Even if youre not overweight, you still could have a junk food craving; especially if youre cooped up in an office building, working 9-5 and not exactly having the best day. If youre like almost anyone else, youve probably had your share of cravings for some kind of excitement or satisfaction in the form of junk food. Its all around us, and once you try it, its so easy to end up wanting it again. After all, there arent many things in this world which can compare to the relaxing, creamy, sensual experience of chocolate. So, what are you and I to do? I have the same problem to deal with because I like Whatchamacallit bars and a good cheeseburger every now and then. Ideally, the solution is to gather together all the will power you have, and force yourself to stay away from junk-foods for at least one week and begin doing cardiovascular exercise 5 days a week. Well, too bad. Not everyone has time to do that, especially people like us who have to do the 9-5 day just to put food on the table so we need another solution something you can do more gradually, and without taking up much time. You must identify your junk-food hours. Start by putting an index card in your wallet or purse. Keep track of times in the day when you really want to hit the candy machine, coke machine, or the bags full of crunchy potato chips anything that interferes with your good eating habits. For many of us, this time is usually mid-afternoon, but for others like me, its around 10pm-12am. Oh yeah what a bad time to load up on carbs! Track your self for a week using the notecard. If you have time, please share your progress or your life with us over at PhenForum.com. We really need more members to help our community flourish. If youre up for it, expect a warm welcome! Gastric Bypass Surgery - Is It Right For You?

By Beverley Brooke When we hear all the success stories of the gastric bypass, it sounds so easy. One pricey operation and the pounds just fly off! Right? Not quite. Gastric bypass surgery is only advised to those who are morbidly obese this is someone with a body mass index greater then 40 and men and women between 80-100 pounds their ideal body weight. The gastric bypass is also sometimes recommended to patients suffering obesity along with other conditions such as heart disease or type 2 diabetes. If the surgeon is happy the health benefits outweigh the possible side effects of gastric bypass surgery then it maybe recommended. If you’re currently obese and suffering no other conditions, I would personally think about big lifestyle changes, both in diet and exercise. I know it’s a tough, long haul but with the right support it’s possible to lose over 1lb/week safely and effectively. That’s over 60 pounds of weight loss in 6 months. You must considering the risks involved in the gastric bypass surgery, because even with the surgery you will still be required to follow a rigid diet that you certainly aren’t going to like at first. Try to be objective about all forms of weight loss and weight up your options. There are many success stories out there on the gastric bypass and its beneficial to many people but please always remain open to the basics of weight loss. True Commitment Comes from the Heart

By Deb Melton True commitment comes from the heart and cannot be forced. Charlotte Kasl from If the Buddha Dated We seem to hear a lot these days about commitment. I hear from women that men wont commit. I hear from men that they are ready and want to commit, but cant find the right woman. I hear from others that even when you commit, it doesnt ensure that the relationship will last. And then there are those who have been burned and never want to commit again! So what is commitment when it comes to matters of the heart? Commitment comes on many different levels and cannot be forced. It must be allowed to happen naturally and gradually. What I notice with some of my clients is that they are in a hurry to get into a relationship and become exclusive within a few weeks of starting to date. This kind of premature commitment can provide a false sense of security that can only really develop with time and experiences together. So what I am suggesting is that you do not commit to soon, do not get in a hurry to commit so that you create a relationship based on false security. When you allow the relationship to develop naturally at its own rate, you are showing confidence. Confidence in yourself that you are not a person who needs another to feel fulfilled. And confidence in your lover that they like you and love you enough to not run off at the first sign of disharmony. Confidence that says, I can give this relationship all the time we both need to explore who we are, what we both want, and to see if we have a good fit. When you do this over time, you also give yourselves time to go through life experiences together which builds your confidence in each other. With time, joy filled and challenging experiences are bound to happen. When they do, you will see how each of you handles them and how you handle them together. When this happens it builds a bond between you upon which your commitment to each other rests. And it is that bond that allows you to deepen your commitment to each other and your union. So when is it the right time to commit? Commitment comes in stages. The first stage is dating exclusively and not continuing to look for other possible partners. This stage happens when both people feel sufficiently interested in the other to feel that a long term committed relationship is possible. But how do you know that? some of my clients ask. You know that when you have spent enough time together that you know that your basic requirements will be met. Requirements are more than a list of characteristics you are seeking in a partner. Requirements are the bottom line, those things that you absolutely must have in order to feel loved and cared for and for the relationship to work for you. Most people have a vague idea of what their requirements are, but it is not clearly defined and so they are likely to compromise here, especially if the chemistry is strong. Compromising on your requirements dooms the relationship to disaster. In my Soulmate Success Training class we spend a lot of time on requirements. What are you specific ones? How do you identify them? How do you look for them? Why are they so important? If you have been disappointed in love, or feel that others have not been willing to commit to you, or that you are afraid to commit but want a lasting fulfilling love relationship, you may want to consider taking my Soulmate Success Training class. Benefits of Plastic Surgeries

By Jennifer Bailey Plastic surgery has wide-reaching consequences. It does not just alter the physical attributes of an individual; it can also help to give the patient a morale boost. Thus, the benefits of this procedure are both external and internal. The physical and external benefits are very obvious. Immediately after the surgery, the entire body acquires a more proportional and balanced look, irrespective of the part of the body that has been treated in the procedure. As a result of the physical change, people feel and look better, which is found to transform their lifestyles permanently. They also tend to become more active in their social spheres as the new look provides them with fresh confidence. These individuals also feel more acceptable socially than in the past. There are several emotional benefits that a person experiences when they are comfortable with the way they look. They become more outgoing, personable, and confident after the procedure. This happens only in cases where the surgery proves to be successful. A bad surgery will have exactly the opposite effects on the patient. In several cases, plastic surgery has to be resorted to because of medical conditions. Reconstructive surgery is a type of plastic surgery that includes microsurgery and is generally focused on repairing the negative effects of any disease, trauma, accident, or surgery. It includes the concealing of defects by moving tissue from other parts of the body to the place where reconstruction has to be done. Breast reconstruction, for those who have undergone a mastectomy, as well as cleft lip and palate surgery are common examples of reconstructive surgeries. This kind of surgery also includes several reduction procedures that have to be done to treat orthopedic problems. In such cases, plastic surgery operative procedures are a necessity. Plastic Surgery provides detailed information on Plastic Surgery, Awful Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Costs and more. Plastic Surgery is affiliated with Plastic Surgeries. For The Most Luxurious Dining Outdoors: Ready Or Not, Outdoor Kitchens Are Here!

By Anne Clarke The perfect weather for grilling out has come at last! Impress your guests, friends, and family with the very best new high technological equipment that will provide a place for you to do your cooking without being stuck inside cooking. It is amazing how great it can be to have an outdoor kitchen, especially if you like to do more than just barbeque for outdoor meals and parties. Outdoor kitchens are designed to live outside. Outdoor kitchens are usually made with marine grade polymer, especially to withstand the outdoors. This advantage is not temporary, either. Your outdoor kitchen and accessories will last and last without becoming warped, without peeling, and without deteriorating. They are designed exposed to the elements without any harm to them. With an outdoor kitchen you can be a part of the socializing as well as get your cooking done! This is multi-tasking of the greatest kind. For the culinary enthusiast who wants to impress his or her visitors by cooking an exquisite meallife can be unkind. As you prepare the food, your guests, or friends, or family can all enjoy the outdoors while they waitbut now you can too! The outdoor kitchen will be hard to missand I wager your outdoor kitchen will get more than a lift of the eyebrows or twothere might be a wow or more, even if you do not use the kitchen for that particular occasion. Make em all jealous of you with an outdoor kitchen that is designed with your personal style and has that look you want. The most impressive kinds of outdoor parties can be made a bit more luxurious with the outdoor kitchen, even if all you prepare is a simple desert or serve some wine from behind the counter. There are lots of options when you consider what kinds of outdoor kitchen equipment to buy, from side grills to sinks, to more non essential accessories like wine racks or cabinets. And believe it or not, there are even kitchen islands available on the market, so your choices are virtually endless, or so it would seem. Many outdoor kitchens are custom designed, with your outdoor kitchen, not only will you be able to grill out your steaks, chicken, veggies or burgerslike you always have, but also you can bake potatoes, perhaps you can make a hot pasta like spaghetti or macaroni, and not just a pre-prepared chilled picnic pasta salad. You can serve wine, tea or coffee without having to go indoors. You can even prepare a cake or souffl for desert right there in your garden, yard, or on the patio. Anne Clarke writes numerous articles for websites on gardening, parenting, fashion, and home decor. Her background includes teaching and gardening. What is the Difference Between an Unsecured Personal Loan and a Secured Personal Loan?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Beth_Pardue]Beth Pardue This is a common question that many consumers have. Many people do not realize that there are even different types of personal loans. Each type of personal loan, secured and unsecured, have different requirements. We will look at the requirements for a secured personal loan first. The name secured loan pretty much sums it up, to obtain a secured loan the borrower is required to provide some kind of collateral to secure the loan. The most common forms of collateral used to secure loans are personal property such as your home, land or automobile. When your home is used as collateral, you will often hear the loan referred to as a home equity loan or a second mortgage loan. Personal loans can also be secured with stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, a savings account, etc. Lenders tend to be more flexible when granting secured loans. Usually the borrower is given a lower interest rate and longer terms to repay the loan compared to an unsecured loan. The downside to a secured personal loan is if you default on the loan and fail to repay it, the collateral used to secure the loan can be seized by the lender. If you do not have any collateral to put up for security, then you would not be able to qualify for a secured loan. On the other hand, and unsecured loan does not require any collateral. That is why unsecured loans are a great option for non-homeowners. The requirements for an unsecured personal loan rely on the borrowers credit history. Since there is no collateral securing the loan, the lender has to base creditworthiness of the borrower on his or her past credit activities. The higher a credit score the borrower has the more likely for approval they will be. A good credit score can also guarantee a higher loan amount and a lower interest rate. If you have poor credit, you could still qualify for an unsecured loan but expect to pay a much higher interest rate. There are some really great deals and interest rates on unsecured loans these days. But all in all, usually the limit on an unsecured loan will be lower than the limit for a secured loan and the interest rates are usually higher. Do Abdominal Machines Really Work?

By Keith Riffle Info-mercials are really funny, especially in the fitness marketing industry. There is always the latest gadget that is supposed to give you abs like Mr. Universe or Miss Fitness USA. But are these abdominal machines really effective at giving you “ripped” abs? If you put your thinking cap on, you will discover why the answer is no, unless you are already super fit. One thing you have to keep in mind when watching fitness marketing info-mercials is that the models they use are already super fit to begin with. These fitness models didn’t get their abs by using the abdominal device they want you to buy. Rather, they are either genetic freaks, or they spend long hours in the gym, and they eat super healthy diets. In other words, the producers of these info-mercials don’t go out and find Joe Blubber to demonstrate how effective their abdominal machine is. But let’s say the producers of infomercials actually did find someone who is over weight to test their product out, and they did a case study to see how effective their product is at reducing fat around your abs. If their model is Joe Blubber, do you really think they would have him rely exclusively on their abdominal machine to get ripped abs? Or do you think that perhaps they would also put him on a very strict diet, hire a personal trainer for him, and have him exercise like crazy? Chances are, if they didn’t put Joe Blubber on a strict diet, and if they failed to put him on a strenuous exercise routine, their abdominal machine wouldn’t do a thing for him! One thing that abdominal machines can definitely do for you is make your abs stronger, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to “ripped” abs or a flat stomach. If you really think about it, most people who are over weight have muscles, but because their muscles are covered with fat, its hard to say that their muscles are “ripped”. The same principle holds true for your abdominal muscles. Using an abdominal machine can help make them stronger, but if you want to get “ripped” abdominals, you need to do a lot more than just work your abs - you have to actually burn the fat on your body, and one of the hardest parts to burn fat will be around your abdominal region. It can be done, of course, but don’t think that you will not have your work cut out for you! Online Dating Question - I’m a Good Catch! Are All the Women in My Area Stupid?

By Jennifer L. Hunt The Question “I need someone to help me try to stand out. There is no one around here that can help me. That or the women in my area are stupid, because I AM A CATCH!” - Phil in Illinois The Honest Answer We’ll respond to the last part of Phil’s question first and then tell you a few quick tips to really make your online profile stand out from all the other guys on any dating site. Part 1: “That or the women in my area are stupid, because I AM A CATCH!” When you’re trying to appeal to another person , i.e. to attract that really cute girl, take a look at yourself from her perspective, and figure out what would be attractive and what is important to her. Take the time to write down all of your best qualities “from her perspective”. At that point it’s about her, not about you. Maybe you’re coming across as a little too strong (read: arrogant). Many women like subtle confidence but not arrogance. You need to be sure of yourself without offending her. Focus on your best qualities in your headline and online profile details. Also - and this is VERY important - remember that every person is a unique individual, with distinct preferences and tastes. What is a “great catch” to one person could be a turn off to another person, and vice versa. Be careful of assuming that other people perceive things the same way you do - that’s rarely the case and will often get you into trouble, especially with women. Part 2: “I need someone to help me try to stand out” Here are some simple things that you can do to REALLY stand out among all of the other men on any dating site. Upload a Quality Photo We will continue to hammer on this one until every guy out there gets it! Most men do not upload their photo and the fact is that profiles with photos get 10 times more looks than those without. And get this, profiles with QUALITY photos get 4 times more looks than profiles with poor photos. The key word here is QUALITY PHOTO. That’s where most men who do upload a photo really mess up. They upload a poor grainy photo, or worse yet, they upload a photo with their ex-girlfriend scribbled out. If you don’t like your photo, have a professional one made. There are many professional photo services that do nothing but create great photos for your online dating profile. This is the single biggest thing you can do to stand out! Write a Catchy Headline When it comes to writing an online profile, it is easy to make the mistake of not paying enough attention to your headline. Most people will click on a profile with a catchy headline just to see what the person has to say next. The whole purpose of your headline is to get the other person to want to know more about you. Your headline should be something special about you, but still make them curious. You’re trying to get them to want to read more of your profile, so it helps to either ask a question that the reader might think will be answered in the profile, or try and establish a sense of mystery. Have a well -written, intriguing profile Writing about your self in paragraph form can be a very daunting task. What do I say? Where do I begin? Why are they making me do this? First, take a deep breath and relax. Taking the time to write a good profile will attract more compatible women to your profile and save you a lot of wasted time and energy in the end. There are some basic and simple rules that can make the process much easier. Be yourself. Honesty is the Best Policy . Even though it may be tempting to fudge a little bit on your weight, your age, or your marital status, the best way to ensure that you will find the person that you are looking for is to BE HONEST! Write like you speak. Be yourself. Sure, you’re trying to put your best foot forward, but you’re also trying to find someone who likes you for who you really are. Target your market. Don’t talk “leather and whips” when your looking for true romance at eHarmony and in the same respect, don’t use words like “true love” when you are looking for a one-night stand at AdultFriendFinder. Be specific. Avoid generalities. Use concrete examples from your life. Instead of saying “I like football,” you can say “I like watching the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night at my favorite sports bar. You can see how that says so much more about you. What things are most important to you in life? Is it health, career, family, fun, learning, religion, or personal development? The things you choose to prioritize say a lot about who you are; including them in your profile will attract the right type of woman to you and lead others away. Don’t forget to spell check. Nothing is worse than reading a profile that starts with “maybe your the one for me” or something worse. (In case you didn’t catch that it should be ” you’re” instead of “your”.) Top Ten Wedding Videography Tips

By Shawn Hickman 1. If at all possible visit the location beforehand to assess the layout, lighting, powerpoints for recharging and to be nice to the priest/officials. 2. Check out the parking access to enable a quick getaway from house to church to reception. See 7) below. 3. Have a checklist for the Big Day, so you don’t forget a single thing. Don’t use new untried kit on the day. 4. When shooting, shoot lots. Remember, this day will never come again. Much easier to edit down your master tapes than to lengthen them. 5. Dance on your toes. Stay very alert. Concentrate on keeping the camera still (unless you’re adept at tracking). 6. Get big powerful closeups. Shoot people, all the people. A bit of the location, but go back and shoot more people. Remember we’re all here because people like looking at people. 7. Check over your kit very carefully. Check whitebalance, exposure, focus settings are all as you require, and are happy with. 8. Check with the bride if she’s asked you to do this film. Ask exactly what she’d like you to record. I had one bride who insisted that I never let the camera stop even for a second. They called me one-shot tom for months afterwards. 9. Try to be in two places at once. (see 4 above). Wear unobtrusive clothing, take a brave pill and move amongst the guests, filming and smiling graciously. Decline alcohol (difficult one this) as drinking time is lost filming time. You can’t do 2 things well, so concentrate on getting the footage. Don’t be tempted to shoot stills; it requires a different mind set. 10. Edit ruthlessly, you hear me? Keep the original masters for sure, but if possible get the happy couple to see your edited masterpiece before they see the long version. Remember your video camera is a sound recorder that just happens to record pictures at the same time. If you stop recording mid sentence the conversation will be nonsense wheras the pictures may be fine.
